Looking back, the year 2000 was a pretty amazing one for Temporary Services. We were a group of six people back then and would frequently divide up into multiple mini collaborations within the group to realize many projects in quick succession. Astonishingly, we produced 24 publications in the year 2000! Some were just 4 pages long; others were 36 pages. Suffice it to say, some of these publications hold up a lot better than others. This one was 16 pages and it's not exactly a favorite of ours, but we are making it available because we still have copies and well... it's our history!

This booklet, #21 in our overall history, presents a guide to our "One Week Boutique" project - a free clothing boutique that we opened in our office space on 202 S. State Street in Chicago. The booklet features a one page essay followed by various photos of donated clothes, installation shots, and images from around the city. Here's a short excerpt from the introduction:

"One Week Boutique is a resale shop with no sales, a bargain basement on the lofty 11th floor, a posh department store without the departments. It is a sidewalk sale, a dressing area, a moment of shopping without the shop."
