Artist Jeff Kolar recently relocated to Chicago and we are excited to be carrying this new small edition audio work that he has produced and packaged in a neat silkscreened folder. The CD includes a range of sonic approaches, from coarse, speaker-shredding sounds to amusing looping voices pulled from radio ads. Kolar describes the work as follows:

"Other Voices is a series of live performances, print material, and an audio release revolving around radio voices.

The Other Voices CD is an edition of 85 which includes a 5-track CD, silk screened cover, artist book, and poem insert.

Voices haunt radio. These voices utilize mono-directional broadcasting: the sender distributes a one-way, closed network path. Other Voices reintroduces radio as an open platform through the use of homegrown radio instruments and multi-sited broadcasts."
